We are expanding the storage platform on Cheaha this fall. We have to power down Cheeha for a short time to prepare for the expansion. The power down is scheduled for Friday, August 10th at 6PM CDT. Compute nodes, login nodes and remote clients (e.g. Galaxy) will not be available during the maintenance period.
The new [https://rc.uab.edu HPC web portal] is now available. We encourage you to try it out as an alternative to traditional clients. It provides file, shell, and desktop access to the cluster within your web browser.
Please note that all running jobs will be terminated. Pending jobs will not be affected. The expected duration of this maintenance event is 4 hours.

The new HPC web portal is now available. We encourage you to try it out as an alternative to traditional clients. It provides file, shell, and desktop access to the cluster within your web browser.
