Introduction

BLAST stands for Basic Local Alignment Search Tool. BLAST is a search tool to find gene sequences i.e., DNA, RNA, proteins, from gene databases. DynamicBLAST is a grid-version of BLAST, developed to facilitate BLAST workflows on the grid. The Computer Science Department of UAB has done considerable work in DynamicBLAST.
